Lisa and I met when she became my Personal Trainer back in 2012. She had just qualified, and I went to her with a list of life changing medical conditions that had stopped me training for 18 months. I needed someone to help me get my life back on track, shift some weight and get myself fit again. My confidence at the time was at an all-time low and I know it was quite a challenge for her!
Lisa’s knowledge and experience really impressed me, considering she was newly qualified she had done her research, the sessions were hard, military style training, functional fitness at its best and I loved them from the very first session. She knew how much to push me, but never to breaking point, always kept me technically safe and injury free, and what I loved the most is she never pitied me. I think it was these dynamics that helped us form a friendship from day one, we both bonded quickly, and she honestly changed my life.
She taught me to swing a KB properly which improved my back pain so much I weaned myself off all my painkillers. She helped me build my engine and improve my cardiac fitness, which was extremely important to me. Each week I managed my sessions better and felt my core and upper body improve too which also helped with my back problems and other medical issues. She always believed I could do it and that made me believe in myself.
She still always pushes me hard, harder than I would push myself, and having medical conditions, it’s important for me to feel safe and I need to train with a coach I can trust has the knowledge and experience for this.
Fast forward nearly 9 years and we are now like soul sisters, but everything I know about training I have learned from Lisa.
Training and working together has been a dream come true for us both, we have the same ethos to fitness and nutrition, we share the same passion for helping others to change their lives. We have permenant roots here at TrainFit and between us we want to change the lives of as many people as we can! With my nursing and nutrition knowledge and Lisa’s knowledge of training we believe we provide something unique and rare at TrainFit.
Starting out as DPP Fitness and Nutrition we created something special and called it ‘The TrainFit Programme’ this incorporates both our knowledge and experience to help anybody change their lives. We have all types training at TrainFit, elite athletes to those considering bariatric surgery, it doesn’t matter the programme is scalable to all! So, when you say you’ve felt apprehensive, scared, or nervous to start, rest assured I have been there, I know how hard it is to walk through the door. But we can also 100% guarantee it will be the best decision you’ve ever made, and it will give you the best feeling you’ve ever had! You just need to be ready to change and we will help you with the rest.

Debbie is a qualified RGN, specialist nurse with 30 years’ experience. She branched into nutrition 7 years ago after being interested in helping people change their lives. Her initial experience was in primary and secondary prevention of heart disease and managing conditions such as diabetes and cholesterol problems. Using motivational interviewing and CBT techniques to help clients initiate change. Since branching out as a full-time qualified nutritionist, she has special interest in sports nutrition and more recently is studying masters level nutrition looking at how to balance hormones to help hormonal disorders. She has experience in helping elite athletes through to pre bariatric surgery clients on a family friendly educational nutrition plan. From May 2021 Debbie will also be using the Styku 3D body scanner to enhance clients’ experience in a revolutionary change to training and nutrition.

Lisa is the founder of the TrainFit exercise programme and our head Coach here at TrainFit. Lisa is a previous podium winning CrossFit competitor who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in functional fitness to help you reach your full potential in your training requirements. She has a military style to training and is a stickler for good technique and posture. She also is interested in helping clients to improve flexibility and mobility in their joints and this is incorporated into the TrainFit programme.
Lisa competed in the CrossFit open games coming 57th in Europe in 2016, 16th in 2017, 11th in 2018.

Pre Covid she also coached alongside Happy cactus coaching team and gained valuable experience in CBT and motivational coaching with children.
Stacey enjoys coaching adults, but her interest lies in helping children to grow in physical and emotional strength.
